Begin with seed selection. You want the seed to be chocolate brown with irregular black lines running randomly over the seed shell plus there needs to be a white stripe along one edge. Most of the seeds below are not viable.
Once the seed has sprouted it is time to plant it.
Trial and error have proven soaking your viable seeds in water till the seed sinks (8-20 hrs) provides a significantly higher germination rate than the wet paper towel method. The seeds that do not sink are unlikely to germinate!
I wish to remind you of the single major factor in your grow op is genetics! We started without knowing the genetics. The only way to know what you have is to have a clone of what you know! Anything less is subject to the DNA of potentially hundreds of thousands of years of evolution and its gene pool for tall or short, big buds or none, auto flower, or day= night trigged, hemp or marijuana, male, female, or hermaphrodite.
The good news for Kruzon is we are entering our 3rd growing season and have a new species as a result of our cross-breeding and plant eliminations (over 100 plants observed before selecting breeding plants). From the germination tray, the germinated seed is carefully moved to its potting container. The germinated seed is laid to rest root down in a depression in the soil. The depression we use is approx. 1.5 cm deep. I push my finger into the soil until the soil is approximately 1/2 way to the first joint of the index finger.
The laid-to-rest sprouted seed is covered lightly with loose material. The loose material is pressed ever so lightly down on the germinated seed. Water lightly till wet and set to the side and do the next one.
It should be sprouted up through the soil cover in a day or 3.
Cannabis soil.
The word ORGANIC in Thailand has little meaning. So don’t fall for it. Hydroponics is not organic as it is all about chemical feeding plants. We are ORGANIC! coconut cois and worm castings make our soil organic.
As of Feb 2024 we have added Amway fertilizer to the soil as the layers are added. Two scoops to a layer and a spray of Amway fertilizer mixed for soil. 500 ml water, 1 ml of ASPA-80, 20 ml/cc’s of Nutriplant NPK (4-18-18) sprayed on soil every 2 or 3 scoops as dirt is added to the planter pot.

If your cannabis soil is too acidic it is said it can then become a hermaphrodite plant (both sexes) called a “Hermie”. Cannabis plants require good drainage. Layering worm castings, coconut cois chips, and soil about equally will provide both neutral php soil and good drainage!
Our experience tells us that every plant left in a tray of water for 2 days dies!
We top off our potted plant’s dirt surface with coconut chips to reduce dirt splash and help retain moisture. Coconut cois is supposed to be one of the few products that actually feed the soil while it shares its stored water.
Our next grow is expected to use coconut cois and worm castings unless we go indoors. Coconut husks (cois chips) provide for great root growth, retain moisture and slowly share their moisture providing multiple vitamins, and are a good source of calcium and magnesium plus all the benefits of worm castings fertilizer. 100% worm-casting soil produced very tall hemp plants but it is a waste of worm castings as the nutrients are washed out of all the castings over time.
