June 2022 Cannabis was decriminalized in Thailand! Over 3,000 prisoners were released from prison and their cannabis-related convictions were expunged! One international reporter reported over 7 million cannabis growers registered online within 3 months of it being legalized.
Oct 19, 2024 update – The new proposed Thailand cannabis law will create the following licensing categories: grow only, sell, export, import. We are told that at this time there is no need for a Thai corporation for Thai nationals. The grow license is free. The other licenses have licensing fees.
The purpose of this multi-part blog will be the sharing our growing cannabis in Bangkok Thailand experience with anyone that is interested. We would also hope to build a sharing community of just how Thailand’s cannabis growing is going.
Oct 12 2024 – update- Over 250 plants grown since November 2022 plants has taught us to advise that Bangkok is not the place to grow cannabis outdoors!
The survival rate from seed to mature plant is 40%. The plants providing nice buds are 10%. The problems begin with soil as we could not find good soil. All our soil experiments had problems with ants moving in and destroying the pants root system, someone said it was some kind of soil snail chewing off the stems of just germinated shoots. Plants under 3 weeks can not handle medium size rain drops without breaking the stem. If you grow during the dry season the buds absorb the air pollution and have poor taste and who wants to smoke or eat 2nd hand air pollutants. During the rainy seasons you have to protect plants from high winds and heavy rains. If your soil does not drain well your plants will drown or due to stress your plants will become both sexes. Due to these factors our strategy changed to breeding plants. Among the seeds we have are L’Amnesia G2 being bred L’Amnesia Auto G3 seeds (sleepy) seeds, LMagnum G2 waiting for a male plant to breed to G3(energizing -active) and L’Mango G2 also G2 waiting for a male plant to breed to G3. Squirrel Tail, Cherry blossom total failures. We will be required to change our registration to medical Cannabis to continue if the law changes.
As of June 12 we no longer sell products!

Our products are currently available only in Thailand. When you or your friends are in Thailand, we can have High THC (quality-tested by a 50-year user, my husband) marijuana delivered to your hotel room. International delivery is being worked on and is pending our import and export licensing. Absolutely, for certain, it will be easier to list the countries that can receive cannabis exports from us than the countries that can not.
Our Thailand – Outdoor Cannabis Garden blog – is intended to be educational!
Cannabis is both hemp and marijuana!
Cannabis is of two classifications. It is either Indica or Sativa and both hemp and marijuana have both classifications. Indica is often referred to as “in the couch” as it is a sleepy high while Sativa makes you active and creative.
The generally accepted definition of the difference between Hemp Cannabis and Marijuana Cannabis is the level of THC content.
Hemp is < .3% THC
and
Marijuana is > .3% THC.
What you sow is what you reap! Genetics and soil!
The word ORGANIC in Thailand has little meaning. So don’t fall for it. Hydroponics is not organic as it is all about chemical feeding plants.
The cannabis shops we visited In November 2022 overall had very poor English. All were way overpriced! Most did not know what an ounce was!
If your cannabis soil is too acidic it is said a cannabis plant can then become both sexes (hermaphrodite). Cannabis needs good drainage. As a general practice, we layer small pieces of coconut husk “cois” (soaked in water for 24 hours) to the bottom of the pot for drainage. Then a layer of moist dirt is followed by a covering of worm castings. A second and final layer of cois chips then dirt and castings then dirt. When the plant is a couple of days old another layer of dirt is added to provide the plant’s roots a deeper setting. About 1 week into growth we will cover the dirt with coconut cois pieces. This eliminates dirt splashes when watering.
Coconut husk “cois” provides drainage and great rooting. It is neutral in PH and is among the few options that release stored multiple vitamins as it releases its retained water into the surrounding soil.
I read an article that suggested that a mixture of worm castings and coconut husks will perhaps be all that’s needed as it will provide for root growth, retain sharable moisture, provide multiple vitamins, all the benefits of worm castings, and great drainage. We will test this on some of the new generations of seedlings just coming up. 100% worm-casting produced great plants but it is a waste of worm castings as the nutrients will wash out of all the castings over time.
